I've been in Shanghai for almost 3 months now. I'm currently living with 2 gorgeous friends (mag-jowa) of mine. We are staying in a 3-bedroom apartment pero actually parang 2 lang kasi yung isang bedroom naging tambakan ng shoes, old tv's, bags, etc. I have a decent bedroom and bathroom but aside from those, the 3 of us basically share everything . My stay with them is temporary since I plan to move out by October. I can't wait to experience living on my own. I know it's tough but I'll get used to it...I have to get used to it.
I couldn't decide where to live here. I wanted to live in the French Concession Area since it seems quiet and it has those trees by the streets. Parang very Forbes Park ang drama (ng slight). It seems very distant from the hustle and bustle of the business area but actually they're just close to each other. Another option is just to live nearby my office. It's really very convenient since I don't have a car here and walking isn't that bad. I may be working overtime in some days so living close to my office wouldn't be stressful. Atsaka kung winter na, masarap yung feeling na rumampa with my fall/winter collection. I've actually bought jackets last weekend. They're from a japanese store, all made in japan of course. I love their jackets kasi very close to the body. Very tailored and they fit me nicely. They're a bit expensive but I believe they're good investments. I'll buy more from that store when the cold season gets near. Last week was just a preview. At least now I know where to go. I never had those back in Manila kasi naman, ang effort mag-jacket don din ba unless nasa Baguio ka or mag-oufit kung may events? I've realized that all my clothes back in Manila were just for summer and very casual. I've always imagined myself wearing trenchcoats and scarves but it never happened in Manila. Pero now that I'm in Shanghai, having 4 seasons here, good luck na lang. I actually have been looking at www.gqstyle.com lately and www.firstview.com I use them for reference for buying outfits. I actually save the pictures that I like and put them in a folder. Right now, I have a "fall/winter collection" folder. It's basically filled with Bottega Venettas, Calvin Kleins, Dolce & Gabbanas, Gianfranco Ferres and Dsquareds. Maraming maganda in other designers but it's not like I could really wear them noh. Oh and I save also all the gorgeous men even if they're not wearing much. They're in a different folder :)
